I generally prefer comfort over style.
Comfort that is stylish.
But what I really enjoy, and just hear me out on this: Comfort that is stylish. This is especially true with my shoes. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good heel. But I am just not a “heels every day” kind of girl. I love to dress up and feel girly from time-to-time, but for the most part I am a casual dresser. Isn’t that the best thing about personal style? You can make it whatever you want!
My Blundstones were probably my most expensive shoe purchase. If you’ve been reading my posts for the last year, you’ll know that I often mention being a total bargain finder. However, these shoes are completely worth their cost. I’ve had them for a year now, and they still look as good as when I first got them! If I could afford another pair, I’d have them in two colors. The shoes are waterproof, and they don’t stain! (We get a lot of salt stain on our shoes here in Canada, when basically anything flat during the winter is covered in a sheet of ice, therefore causing us to need to use salt on everything to avoid falling every 3 steps). You can buy a lining for them that makes them totally winter friendly, however mine don’t have the lining and I still find them warm enough for almost any day! Unless I knew I’d be outside all day in -25 C weather. But is anyone outside then – unless they absolutely have to be?
High quality and long-lasting:
The shoe is made of high quality leather, and I love the “slip-on” aspect. The little pull straps you use to slip them on have held up perfectly, I have absolutely zero wear and tear on any part of my shoe. And I wear them almost every day! The leather eventually moulds to your foot shape, so the shoes start out comfortable but only get better as you wear them. I barely even notice mine are on my feet some days. I wear these shoes for hiking, walks, and day-to-day wear. They really are the most versatile shoe I’ve ever worn! I love how simple they are design wise, you can wear them with a ton of stuff and it always looks clean and minimal.
What is your go-to footwear? Have you ever owned a pair of Blundstones? I’ve been seeing them more and more on other people. Let me know in the comments below!
